Shenzhen has built 362 supercharging stations, outnumbering gas stations

On June 29, 2023, Shenzhen launched the first all-liquid-cooled supercharging demonstration station and announced the start of the construction of the "City of Supercharging". Subsequently, the process of applying supercharging technology, promoting supercharging facilities, and laying out supercharging stations in Shenzhen has been steadily advancing. At present, has initially built throughout the city super charging service network, these sites mostly rely on the original public charging station construction, distributed in large commercial complexes, public transport stations, industrial parks and so on.
The increase in the number of supercharging stations has significantly improved the charging efficiency of new energy vehicles. Data from the Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau of the Southern Power Grid show that the charging volume of new energy vehicles in Shenzhen in the first quarter amounted to 670 million kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%, reflecting the positive market for new energy vehicles and the effective operation of charging infrastructure in Shenzhen.
More and more high power super charging station access, also caused a lot of pressure on the power grid. Southern Power Grid Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau through research to master each super charging station power needs, power access "one-stop one assessment", in advance for the site access program; In addition, in the scheduling and energy management, has been part of the charging station access to the Shenzhen Virtual Power Plant Management Center, to participate in the power grid scheduling.
Data show that by the end of 2023, the city of Shenzhen's new energy vehicle ownership of more than 970,000 vehicles, new car electrification penetration rate of more than 60%. According to the relevant planning, by the end of 2025, the scale of new energy vehicles in Shenzhen will reach 1.3 million.
