A-segment NEVs are entering the private car sector
In 2022, Class A models account for more than 50% of the new energy vehicles sold nationwide, mainly commercial motor-vehicles. Following the launch of BYD Seagull and Wuling Bingo in the first half of the year, the CDMS also welcomed more personalized and practical Class A new energy vehicles, among which the ARCFOX Kaola and Chery iCAR 03 received the most attention. The ARCFOX Kaola is priced between CNY 130,000 and 170,000, positioned as a smart parent-child, and a new travel tool for moms and dads. Chery iCAR 03 made its debut, estimated price was around CNY 150,000, a personalized hard-core compact off-road vehicle with a very outstanding appearance. With the release of personalized and practical models this year, it also means that this field is no longer exclusive to commercial motor-vehicles, and will also be favored by more private car owners.
